Previewing the 2019 Ford Transit Connect
Remember when minivans were dull and boring? Of course, some of you probably didn’t even get as far as the question mark before asking a question of your own: “What do you mean, ‘were’?” Stay with us here. There’s a minivan at Palmetto Ford Truck Sales that’s miles from average. If you don’t know the Ford Transit Connector Ford Transit Connect Wagon, you don’t know what you’ve been missing.
We know why minivans tend to get a bad rap. Too often, their looks, handling, and features are dull as dishwater. People buy SUVs partly because they do a lot of the same things as a minivan, and partly because they wouldn’t be caught dead behind the wheel of a minivan. The Ford Transit Connect Wagon is a minivan that looks and handles like an SUV, while still offering all the strengths of a minivan (and sidesteps the size concerns of larger new Ford vans).
And thanks to the 2018 Chicago Auto Show, we’re now we’re getting an advance peek at the 2019 Ford Transit Connect Wagon. The looks are even better than before, borrowing heavily from Ford SUVs like the Ford Escape. The safety technology promises to be great, with standard automatic emergency braking and the option to add lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
Ford Sync 3 infotainment will be optional, but other tech features (including 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Waze integration, and compatibility with Amazon Alexa) will be standard. Two engines (one gas, one diesel) will be on offer, and the minivan will handle 2,000 pounds or more with the optional towing package.
The 2019 Ford Transit Connect Wagon doesn’t arrive at Palmetto Ford Truck Sales ’til this fall. If you’d rather not wait that long, the 2018 model is in stock now, alongside a full selection of new Ford SUVs and vans. We invite you to our showroom for a closer look and a test drive!
